I'm cutting it a little close, I was going to do 10 flippers and the rest low end neck knives but Jake saw one of my flippers without the overlays on it and he said he thought I should do some bare-bones frame locks. I thought that sounded like a really good idea so I finished up the last of the 10 that I had been working on the morning and dug into 5 bare-bones versions. So I should have 15 VPD flippers and a few neck knives on my table.

Those look great Les! Are you going to contour the Ti on the bare bones models? I bet they'll be fantastic to carry with that slim handle.

Now you've just got to add some chamfered Tom Mayo style holes and they'll be perfect!

Thanks Jim. The frames are only .100" ti so I won't contour them, the edges will be smoothed out just like the full dress models but otherwise they'll be pretty darn flat probably just shy of .375 overall thickness.

Holes???? we don need no stinkin HOLES!

I had considered holes but the idea was to make a lower priced version and if I gotta put holes in these and keep them neat and pretty, well thats more time. I was thinking about making a set, a VPD fixed blade and a flipper and make both barebones and then I might put a couple holes in the non-lock side to match the holes in the fixed blade, but I'll have to see if theres really any interest in these 1st
