    hee MO,

    i always use a welders magnet when i flatten the sides of the blanks.
    it safes my finger nails and give me more grip on my work.

    I hear ya!


    I actually use a grinding magnet most of the time. When I did this thread, it was the first time I ground heat treated blanks.

    That's the truth.

    Martin's epic WIP was a huge influence on my decision to attempt making a knife. As soon as I put a file to steel, I was hooked. I have this entire WIP copy and pasted into Evernote so I can reference it often.
