There is an old expression like, "I waited so long for this that we could have made a baby"- but in this case, we could have made three babies, and I don't mean triplets.

But, some things are well worth the wait. This knife is no exception.

The True North Knives exclusive "RJ Martin VARIABLE" is on the same lines as the Q36 although somewhat larger. Thicker 4" blade, multi grinds and with a new contoured striated Titanium bolster.

Blasted OD Micarta handle- very grippy. A strong detent makes this one fly out of the handle- we call it SlamAction™.

These are $670.00 and we have the first few just in.

Hi Richard,

The UPS guy must have known how special this one was as I do believe it is the first time he actually got "your" signature for the package and did not sign for it himself.
(It did take a while, but we did sort out why Richard's packages that he would find outside his door we all being signed for by "Bob"....)

That is quite the beautiful piece

Does the top edge of the bolster sit proud of the blade spine or is it flush. I can't quite tell from the photo.

Any plans for a single grind version?

Sorry meant to do exactly that and the phone rang.

Variable is physically larger and longer. Blade is 4" tip to bolster.

Variable is using CPMD2 Steel Blade with Stirrations on the horizontal plane. Bolsters also have very discrete Stirrations too. Liners are thick Ti. Clip has an orange peel effect too. Micarta handles is very grippy. Feels very nice in the hand.

Speed versus the JD Q 36 - Variable wins by a nose. I still think the Q36 is as fast or faster than a MT Socom Auto or LUDT. Variable flies open!

This is an exclusive with TNK and I suggest you let Neil know if you want one. It may be a very limited run. This is another winner from R J!
