Tachyon?

What's this I hear of upcoming Microtech Tachyons? Any release date or price range available yet?

They came out maybe 6 months back, and disapeared pretty quick. A good example now goes for the same as an earlier Tach.

Why did i say *Good* example???

Well...

Proceed carefully on this later run of Tachs.

To be frank, it looks like some of them were made with parts that were previously rejected becasue of MT having problems machining Ti.

Trouble is, it seems the problems with these parts were not necessarily all resolved before they were finally used....

Aim for one of the eariler models (s/n lower than 1500) and you should be okay.

Maybe I should stick to CS & BM for futur acquisitions...

For some reason I ordered a Rainbowfly, pretty cool looking bali! Makes me want to anodized a 42!

If you can locate one of the earlier Tachs and don't mind coughing up the dough, get it!! They are the shit, IMO. Not that I am a bali expert. I got it more because it was a MT than brcause it was a bali, but it is nice. The benchmade I recently got is nice too, but I really like the tach.

Actually I just received a double edged spear point arc angel that seems alright...except for the fact that I'm running out of fingers that are not cut up and bleeding! what the hell was I thinking! into the display it goes...

So all this time I thought Cold Steel was a decent company making a wide variety of products...from blowguns to pocket knives, to walking sticks. Now all of a sudden a bunch of people start telling me to stay away from them....can someone please elaborate...is this like the Maxpedition deal on USN or something where no one seems to dare mention what's up? I got a dual edged spearpoint Arc Angel and from what I can tell it is of decent quality....

well theyre part of the maxpedition troubles, and a lot of people are mad because they actually dont make anything!

all their stuff is made overseas...

sharpest out of the box= not!

so in closing, that is why I personally do NOT want to deal with them
