Will, I got to use Spencer's Tapmatic yesterday to tap a 2-56 hole in a titanium liner. Definitely the way to go. Of course this was after I broke a bit off drilling the hole.

Spencer wants to share what he has learned about making lockbacks with me before he pulls the pin and moves to Oregon. Who am I to argue?
There are quite a few tutorials out there on framelocks and linerlocks. Not nearly as much is available on interframes/lockbacks. I'll need some equipment uprgrades if I'm going to build knives that fold in the middle in my shop.
Lucky You. Spence makes some nice stuff.

Great thread, Will!
Nice bit of reality with the tap break description.... I relate!
MO, Will, you guys just keep your head in the game, stay focused and get those blades out! Will sent me all the hardware to start one myself but all that stuff is so small I can just envision hours of frustrationI'm still procrastinating....
I am fortunate enough to be in long line with a lot of others for a blade from Will and MO.
I kinda feel sorry for these Texas boys, what with all the pressure of success and fame.
You guys both Rock! and being from Texas don't hurt either!![]()

I'll try and do a updated version in the next week or so.

I used to use it when grinding the top swedge on my knives with the KMG. Now I mostly use the work rests on the TW90 since they can do most everything the map arm can do and weigh a lot less.
