    I whacked off 6" for this

    Well as usual I kind of wait till the last minute to get started. Still got time.
    Started with 10" 1070 hex stock.

    I whacked off 6" and will use it for the head.

    I'll probably do something with the other 4" too

    This is what happened to the 6" piece so far and a little tease of the 4" piece.
    I hope to forge more this afternoon.

    Beautiful work on that hawk head, but the lighting in the pictures makes your shop look kinda like Jame Gumb's basement (in The Silence of The Lambs)...

    But seriously, that hawk looks great!!
