Mastersmith Collab. knife

As some of you know, once you pass your Mastersmith test with the ABS you are given the opportunity to make a donation knife to be auctioned off at the next Blade show in Atlanta. Myself, Bill Burke & Henry Torres decided to collaborate on a large damascus piece. Bill did the steel and basic forging and I just finished the grinding, heat-treatment, logo and etching of the blade. The piece is now on it's way to Henry for completion. This will be one sweet knife up for grabs...







I'm also just about finished with the blade on the Journeyman Smith knife for which my name was chosen at this past Blade show. It will also be up for auction at the upcoming Blade show this May.

It's common for new MS guys to do a collab. piece. Six of us passed so we split into two groups of three. I pretty much let those guys decide the work-load split as I still have to do the JS knife (solo) and all.

Yep, this one, the MS knife from the other three new MS's are making and the Journeyman knife of the year I'm currently working on.
