Picture?
“Wild animals never kill for sport. Man is the only one to whom the torture and death of his fellow creatures is amusing in itself.”
It is a freakin beast. It is probably the best BM yet for chopping. The thinner stock coupled with the Convex grind really gives this one a controllable feeling in the hand. It is longer than the old FBM and the handle is smooth and feels very nice on the hand.
I will let the pictures do the talking.
A few more....
Is the middle one fat stock?
Truly an awesome score. Do you plan on using it?

nice knife!
or I should say knives
When you can't run anymore, you crawl
if you can't crawl, you find somebody to carry you.
I looked at the meltdowns at the Knob Creek Show... I wanted to like it more but the choil notch is sooo shallow and with much sharpening you'll be into the blade.. If the edge sat proud like on the ash or other models I'd be a bit more in lust with it... This was my biggest complaint on the cgfbm's... Anybody feel my pain or understand what I'm talking about?
about the choil issue.....
i think it would be a non issue because of the convex grind.....you can control a flexible medium like sandpaper a lot better than a rigid stone.....i think it will easy to sharpen with a piece of sandpaper and have enough control not to drift into the choil area....
if you were sharpening with a rigid stone, i could understand your concerns, but this blade is a totally convexed and i don't foresee the choil as a problem...
I understand the convex issue and agree to a point but I'd still like the edge to be a bid more proud.. This is a me thing and not a negative comment on the knives.. I'm simply a picky bastard!!![]()
What's a "proud" edge?
Ya beat me to it Mikey!![]()
