heres what I'm working on this weekend.

This is the first blade I had made for JurT's knife, it's getting dressed up in Ironwood and Blued Fittings for NorCal

the bottom blade here is the beginnings of a blade for Centerfinger

And the top blade is for a soldier who needs something a little hefty.

And finally, this is just something I've been sketching at for a while and I think it's time to make it

woohoo, I'm so excited. My first forged blade is going to be something very, very special to me. Thanks for the pic, I'll download it for a upcoming blog entry.

Edit - That big bowie is going to be wicked too, I can't wait to see that beast!

If your starting with a solid block you will mark center's top and bottom of the block,

then you need to setup a point on your drill press table that aligns with the point of your drill bit.
Set the center of one end of the block on the point and drill halfway through the block from the top, flip over and repeat.

then you will have to enlarge the hole to accept the tang.

I don't burn tangs in anymore, I used to but found it to be entirely to easy to screw up nice handle stock.

I'll do some pictures up for ya and post em here.
