It's been in the mid-90's here this week, which isn't actually all that bad for this time of year in MS. It could be a LOT worse. Humidity is horrendous, though, so that makes it like living in a sauna. When you walk outside, you feel your will to live sink just a little...

To make matters worse, my AC quit sometime last night. The condenser fan motor went out. My brother is a certified dude in this field...but he can't come up and help me out because he's having eye surgery. I don't have the $$ to call anybody local to come fix it.

I may just turn on a cold shower and stay in there all damn day. Fuck the water bill.

Wow Marie, how crappy is that? Good luck. I know we can't claim your normal summertime level of heat up here in NJ, but our humidity has been ri-frickin-diculous lately too, so I feel your pain. Got any friends with a pool?

No, no friends with a pool. I do, however, have a blender, an ice-maker, limes, and tequila. Oh, and a water hose out back.

you'll find that a 4'x20' pool pays for itself quickly... especially when it clears 30deg.

Been dealing with either 35deg or 20 and raining for the last 2 weeks.

it was 90somethign yesterday in the shop but i just kept drinking water and then beer when the day was done

its not to go over 90 today so its way nice working weather sept for storms popping up now and then

but this does sound like the start of a porn movie...

Hot milf at home...overheated because the airco quit...no $$ to fix...in a bind other "payment options" come to mind as the Airconditioning fix it repair man stud works on the air co unit....

sorry Its my ADHD...I have no control..

We are in the same boat here with my car...a friggin grand and a half to fix...duff that...

I'm feeling sorry for you, Marie. I've had a few times over the years where the A/C kicked out and I spent a lot of time in the cool basement... seems to stay about 75-78 degrees down there.
Your thread makes me think back to before we had A/C... how did we survive! I can remember when as kids my father installed a window airconditioner... everybody would congregate in my mother & father's bedroom during the day. It was the only room that had A/C!

No Ac for me in the work truck, or warehouse.... I sweet like a "whore in church" as my gramps would say... It it sooooooo much cooler in my house, even without the ac... But I am out of summer ale...

Well, I decided to go into work since nobody showed up to help me drink and hose me down.

They at least have functioning A/C there, even if the place IS the Baskin Robbins of crazy people.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't have much work to do, so I ended up spending several hours in the UN-airconditioned shipping department, helping the shipper out by putting stuff into the UPS computer. It was about like you'd expect, my clothes are soaked with sweat and I need another shower.

I guess I was just meant to be hot and wet.

(Turns out it's the condenser fan motor....it's being replaced right now. Only $75, woot!)
