    Lightbulb Chopping contest Idea.

Why dont we have a chopping contest between Ttraditional styled bowies and moder big blades. It coul go like this....

    of traditional bowies

    A) Trailmaster (a strecth but id does have a guard and clipped point)

    B) Bagwell ontario gamblers bowie

    C) Wester W49

    Of modern big blades

    A)Busse Battle Mistress

    B) Swamp Rat battle rat

    C) Becker BK9

Test each one against others in the category and then test the winners against each other.

You could include the BRK&T Rogue Bowie, too.

    Could be an interesting contest.

Well, that's a good idea too! I didn't remember what was out yet...the only other bigger blade I could remember was the Borderer.

    Sean,

It's not out yet but that wouldn't prevent me from making one for the Chop-off.

I was thinking we could do this remotely. I use my knives, and others use theirs and then post the results here.

It would have to be with wood or material that is similar.....
    Like 2x4 pine...or some such....

I just got a Kershaw Outcast that I'm impressed with and I want to do choppin limbs and such for a review. It really sails thru brush.
I have a Trailmaster ...OLD....to do at the same time.

    So ......
Should there be a listing of reviewers/testers and the materials to use?
And a time frame to complete this in.

If not this will prolly die on the vine

Oh yeah, I just got a Benchmade NRA Outdoor today and I'd like to see how that performs. Little on the small side BUT looks great in hand
