    Birding festival film

This is the trailer for the film my wife and I (mostly my wife) are making for the local Audubon's spring Festival of the Birds. Please tell me what you think. We have not taken the time to color correct the trailer, so don't be too critical of that.

Why is it acceptable for you to be an asshole, but un-acceptable for me to point it out?

That looks good. Did you take the video, if so what areas? That was a cool shot of the pile of turtles. Do you know what kind of bird the wood pecker with the red head is?

    for the birds

My wife and I (mostly my wife) shot all the footage. She has a masters in Science and Natural History Filmmaking. She spent LOTS onf money on the degree.

It is for a 30 min - 45 min film on birding at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. Its a peninsula that juts out into Lake Erie. At times you can see up to 300 turtles on that log. The red headed woodpecker is a Red Headed Woodpecker. It's a threatened species! Thanks for the comments!

Good shots. A little disjointed with shots of other animals and the sudden appearance of the woman. Maybe a introductory explanation as to the theme and some more explanation of what is being shown. Of course, a lot of this critique is probably because I am not your target audience. Nice shots though.

I was wondering, but it looked to small. I have never seen one yet, but hope to someday. Let us know when the video is finished.

That's some really lovely footage ...

(Is it still called footage when it's digital?)

Where did your talented wife do grad school?

Where can we access the completed film?

    Very Nice stuff - Congrats!

    ...

Thanks guys! Thanks for the critique Roadfish. When you spend HOURS infront of the computer there are times things make sense to you that really shoudn't. I appreciate the help. ded i, She went to Montana State University. She was of the first group accepted in her program and the first to graduate(with 3 others). The film will be completed in late April for the festival on May 9th. Time is running out.

We are more coyotes, wolves, bears and big cat type people, but the birding thing has REALLY taught us patience! This has definitly been a good education(for me) and very fun.
