Hope yours holds up better than my new one did.

I have the full size Kimber Custom Target Eclipse and I absolutely love it. I hope you love yours. I still love to look at the finish after all this time and it shoots to point of aim.

    Thumbs up New Kimber

Good Grab! CONGRATS!! Use it well and in good health. Had mine for eight years. 14 shot version. No trouble as of yet.

Nice gun Barker, I really like that 2 tone. Is the frame steel or alloy on that one? Went out and shot my Kimber this past weekend, and I must say they make a great gun. Enjoy the new pistola!

This the only ultra model with a stainless frame. The two tone looks awesome, but I wanted the weight of the stainless frame to help a little with the recoil.

The stainless frame is a big plus in my book, as I much prefer shooting an all steel 1911, but the lightweights sure do carry nice. If you want some nice custom grips, I highly recommend Carbon Creations. They look as good as they feel in the hand.

Viperkiller has some great tips for thr grips. I got my CC grips on a couple days ago. They came very fast 2 days and John bent over backwards to make 'em the ones I needed.

Here is some more eye candy for you John...I have the slim line grips on the Defender. Carries really nice, but I like the standard thickness on my Kimber and SA better when it comes to shooting them.
