Revolver time

I have a debate. I have decided my next pistol will be revolver. I have personally owned my favorite all time revolver (Colt King Cobra w/ 8" barrel) and sold it foolishly several years ago. I don't really want to buy another of same gun so I have narrowed it down to two guns.

Either

A. This Taurus 44 Mag. w/ 12" barrel

I can get one of these right now for a steal in IMO

Or

B. A Colt Anaconda 44 Mag w/ 6" barrel

The Colt would cost me about $200 more and it would be for a gently used one. The Taurus would be NIB with scope mount and rings. What to do, What to do...... If it was two Semi-autos with such different styles, I would try to get both. But I really only need one 44 mag. What do you think?

The Anaconda will always be a Colt and worth $200 more in the long run. The Taurus would make a good user but too damn long for me. Why no love for the Smith 29? Oh, the King Cobra is a fine gun but I have always loved the Python and it is finer than the other two snakes mentioned.

Of the three (Python, King Cobra and Anaconda), I never much carried for the Python. It did cross my mind though. I think I will end up with the Anaconda, but damn, Just the novelty of a 12" barrel and like I said, the price is right. Thats what makes this such a hard choice. Couple that with the fact that I have this weird thing about used guns and can't find a Anaconda NIB for less than $900+, its rough

Have you considered a S&W? I have a 629. It was one of the first handguns I bought and it is the shit, IMO.

I have ruled out S&W revolvers all together. I was arrested when I was a younster with one and I consider them to be bad luck for me :dammit:

Damn, $900. Don't remember what I paid but its been about 10 years. The 12" barrel would get old after a while unless you paid the $200 tax and put a stock on it. Now that would be sweet but I would get the Colt. You might want a 6" barrel on the Colt. Just me but for me anything longer is a pain but I guess you are going to target shoot or hunt with it.

I had a Dan Wesson 22 revolver once that was a quality piece, but thats the extent of my experience with them. Their 1911s have my eye right now though and I am finding it hard to stick with the revolver plan the more and more I go to gunbroker.com

yeah, the most I will do is some target shooting with it. Possible home defense. Just wish I could find a new Anaconda for around $500 or so and I wouldn't have had to post this. But I think I would get the Taurus before I would drop $800+ on any revolver.

Let me check out some more gun auction sites, there may be a winner out there.

Go for the Anaconda... If it was me I'd go for the Anaconda as well, that 12" Taurus doesn't really appeal to me, but so do few revolvers. I don't hunt either, so it would just be the big gun factor... which I really don't care for, because I like full-size, but not bulky semiautomatics. I'm well aware of a revolvers practicalness and realiablity though.
