    I have my brothers Barrett M82 in my safe.
    We haven't fired it yet, will be an experience I'm sure.
    Last .50 cal I fired was an M2 Browning while in the Navy.
    Watching tracers at night you could always tell when the M2 was firing.
    Looked like a red laser in the night, barely perceptible arc over distance.
    Nasty weapon, that!

    Well I suppose 2 would be better! I wish I had the coin right now, I was fondling one last week in my local gun shop and would really like to take one home. Of course then there is the issue of it fitting in the gun safe...

    I had to put it in the safe broken down. It rests in the Pelican case in 2 pieces and that's how I had to put it in the safe. The thing weighs in at over 30 pounds!!!!! The rifle has an interesting barrel recoil system that uses a really thick locking plate and 2 huge coil springs.

    Can't wait to shoot it but I promised my brother I'd wait until he got back to the States for a while. When we take it out, I'll take some pics and post them!

    I just picked up the BARRETT Tactical Weapons COMBAT RIFLES mag.
    it's chock FULL of all kinds of Goodies including the new BARRET REC7
    6.8 Rifle. OUTSTANSDING! pick up a copy at Borders or Barnes & Noble
    well worth the $4.95 price. Great articles and pix! IMO
