Initial impressions:
Good: It's big and stout, snaps open with a nice loud click, and feels good in the hand. In my hand it feels almost more like a nice sized fixed blade that folds, rather than a folder, if that makes any sense. It carries nice and flat in the pocket. The handle seems to work in pretty much any kind of grip that you might grab it with.
Minor Bad: The grind at the tip is a little uneven, but this is the case on many of the knives that I have bought this year and it should be easy enough to fix with a little work. It is plenty sharp, but the edge is a little thicker than I normally like, but again this is a pretty common thing these days. I think that it would be very interesting to see how it would cut with a Krein regrind.
I am not a fan of thumbstuds much, so I may just be out of practice, but I can't seem to open it fast. I can open it easily if I think about it, but I can't just fire it open like I can my Delica, Trance or Griptilian. As much as I like the ambi opening studs in principle, I am not liking the clip side stud on this thing. It catches pockets on several pants and shorts that I have carried it in, and I am debating grinding it down a lot or remove them completely (there is plenty enough blade exposed to pinch with the off hand to open).
Overall a lot of knife for the money, and I think that it would serve most people well for a big folding hunter or utility knife. More after I beat on it some.
