    28 Weeks Later...

    saw it this week...

    nice to see a zombie movie (it's not a zombie movie) on the big screen... pretty good stuff... i enjoyed it...

    nice and gory...

    frenetic and panicked stuff done well with edits and camera work... particularly the 0-100 acceleration at the country house at the beginning...

    I want to see Pirates 3, but I'll probably opt for the empty theater with 28 Weeks instead. Excited to see it.

    the sniper scenes were awesome... you'll know when you see it... unreal cool...

    all the things that are alluded to and recounted in the first film in stories yet not shown... in '28 Days Later'... that worked well in that film... as it added to the creepy post-apocalyptic feel... the stories of 'there were infected in the crowd, it spread like a fire through the crowd'... stuff like that...

    is clearly shown in this film... and shown well... really done well... a totally more panicked and shocking thing...

    not a perfect film... neither was the first one...

    but it may be a superior film than the first '28' film... i think it is...

    much more gore too and i like the unadulterated and sadistic gore for it's own sake...
