    Question SIG Question..

I went and got another SIG P226 with all this talk of gun bans and everything. I want to be sure and do my part to provoke proliferation of firearms if such bans are to take place as I enjoy the fruits of money made from the stupidity of liberals.. Plus I always wanted a "matched gun" for each hand.

Anyway, I noticed that my current SIG P226 has a magazine catch that would appear to be “reversible”??? The magazine has holding notches on both sides and the button assembly looks like it could be switched “side-for-side” if it were flipped over and re-installed.

Does anyone know if this is something that can be done? Thanx.

Oh yeah – I had to pony up $450 for this one and it’s only a little bit nicer than the one I got for $350 a month ago. Oh well, it’s still a better deal than anything else I’ve found that’s close. My “bargain” of the day was getting 10 (that’s right – TEN) Galco double-magazine pouches for only $20 ($2 each!!!). I looked them up and they are going for $54.95 and mine are in great condition. I think they might have been LEO turn-ins? At that price – who cares.

Thanks - I'll keep digging around for some "detailed" disassembly instructions.

check out sigforum. I think there was a video you could get through them that showed how to tear a sig down. I'm pretty sure that was covered.

I couldn't use the search feature (not a member), but after parusing 5 or 6 pages of "tech" found EXACTLY the instructions I was looking for!

I get to pick up my "new" SIG in just under 10 hours and will now be able to switch that magazine release for "lefty" operation. Thanks again for the help - I'd posted this question a few different places and got no other suggestions, so you really helped me out on this.
