Thread: Sigsaur P220

    Sigsaur P220

Hey, I found a used (factory re-condidtioned) one of these for around $450 to $500, depending on the discount that I get.

Just wondering if that's a good price or not (seems to be), and if anyone knows any downsides to this one. I know Sigs are supposed to be top-notch. I'm looking at a Browning Hi-Power Practical too at the moment. Not sure if I'll get either, but the Sig seems to be calling to me a little...

    Here's a link to the gun Sig's site http://www.sigarms.com/Products/Show...6&productid=94

I was going to get a P226, when they were all the rage, and I was 15 . I like em! Have no idea what a good price on one is.

    i've owned one for years...

that is my idea of a 'perfect' pistol for a lot of reasons...

i assume you mean in .45 acp and not .38 super or something...

not sure what 'factory reconditioned' means...

i have other weapons that are nice... i've never had a failure of any type in my italian beretta 96fs (pietro beretta stainless model only made in italy)...

but Swiss Industrial Group weapons made by JP Sauer and Sons... are my choice for the finest auto loading pistols there are...

if i were to by a .223 it would be the SIG...

My buddy has one and loves it. The little gap between the magazine and the grip pinches my pinky almost every shot. I am sure there is a way to correct it, but it was not my pistol.

The are selling for $750-800 in my city.
I'm going to guess that all of your failures prior to the "revolution" will pale in comparison to how hard your life will be afterward. You will not rise to the occasion. If you can't succeed in a structured, ordered society, you will continue to fail miserably when winning friends and influencing people becomes vitally important.

The Sig 220 .45 acp is a fine pistol. I usually get 5 mags for each pistol I have.

Single stack Sigs are awesome. The P220 is great. For a red box factory recondition, I think you're getting a good price.

Back when I was first looking to purchase a new semi-auto, I read an article about the Sig 220. They ran 10,000 rounds through a brand new one, and pretty much came to the conclusion that it was just nicely broken in.
I would imagine even a used one would still be a top notch performer, especially coming re-furbed from the factory. Sounds like a great deal.

Found the previously mentioned article HERE

I don't own a 220, but I do own a 225,226, and 228. They are excellent firearms. You can't go wrong with a red box CPO. These are hard to tell from new. The price you listed is a good. You won't find one much cheaper.

That sounds like a good deal to me.. In my town they are selling LEO trade-in P226's for $479 and I'd get one but they only come with 10-rounds mags and I don't have any hi-caps...

I thought of getting a P226, but you have to qualify as a marksman before you're allowed to own a firearm and I don't have the time.

Excellent weapons! Both of them. That is a very fair price for a Certified Pre Owned. I own three 220's, and a 225 that have been nothing but 100% reliable. One of them is a Certified Pre Owned. It looks like a brand new one. I don't think you would be unhappy with the 220, or the Hi Power, but at that price get the 220.

They are fine pistols, but not fine like a real SIG- like the P210.
