So anyway, early this morning my wife's airline ticket fiasco gets squared away, and her brother pays for her plane ticket. So what does that mean to me? My small stash of cash is mine, all mine. So after setting some aside for other obligations, I set off shopping on my favorite gun forum. I find a gun accessory that I have been hunting for for months, used, for less than half of retail. So I PM the guy, saying that it's mine. I was the first to view the thread, and PMed him less than 5 minutes after he posted. Today, there's a post in his thread by another guy laying claim to it, timestamped HOURS after my pm. And there's a pm to me saying this other guy BEAT ME TO IT! Apparently a deal was struck before the guy checked his PMs. WTF? just when I thought I was gonna make a great score and cheer my cynical, pessimistic ass up for a few days...
