    Dual-Can Tripod Adaptor - REVIEW

Yes, this is for a 1919a4......

I’ve been working on a thorough write-up on a tripod adaptor that uses a pair of .30 cal ammo cans for feeding and catching spent links. Just the accessory for a belt-fed weapon! I’m real happy with the quality and function in the tests I conducted so far.

Even though the mount was made to be used with an M2 / M122 tripod, it works PERFECTLY on my modified MG-42 tripod as well. It’s always nice when a product turns out working well with other (unanticipated) shooting platforms. Here’s a couple pix->

All I need to do it get out to “live-fire” with it!

My question is why do you need a can on the feed side if you can only have 15 rounds linked in California anyway? Unless of course you travel east quite often....

Nice setup though. I admire the ingenuity. Oh and the 1919 is nice too!

I do believe Mr. Slick has a place in Nevada.

    Nice set up.
I'm going to guess that all of your failures prior to the "revolution" will pale in comparison to how hard your life will be afterward. You will not rise to the occasion. If you can't succeed in a structured, ordered society, you will continue to fail miserably when winning friends and influencing people becomes vitally important.

Thanks, but unfortunately it's worse than that... Only 10-round belts are permitted in CA, but I do have lots of friends (via a fraternal organization) that live in Nevada and I travel there and shoot as much as I physically can. I should have some land bought in Nevada State before too long. My rural land that I own and have my shooting range on is in Nevada County (which, unfortunately is still in CA). Anyway – having the ammo can on the side of the gun makes it real simple to just grab another 10-round chunk & stuff it in… If anything, CA’s stupid 10-round belt law has made me a fast expert at rapidly reloading this weapon! I don’t even lift the top-cover, instead I just pop the first round on the belt past the holding pawl and cycle the gun twice and she’s ready to go!

Anyways (at the risk of coming off as "prodding"), I tend to really recommend the 1919a4 kits (or completed guns) to my friends because of the excellent investment potential. So as always – I say “board this train before it pulls out..”

A 1919a4 "kit" costs only $300 from Ohio Ordinance Works and the right-side plate & rivets about $140 from HALO mfg. You will then need some machine work + a semi-auto trigger & sear that costs $200. I've heard through the "grapevine" that there are now less than 1000 kits left in the US (that came back in from Israel), so once they're gone prices WILL climb.

So if you're patient and a bit mechanically inclined - you can build your own gun for about $750! Now I can guarantee you that this is a LOT of "gun" for your $750 You can buy them ready-to-go for a grand + any paperwork fees.

Anyone that interested in building, buying, or owning a 1919a4, should feel free to PM me about it! I’m always more than happy to help where I can. The only thing I cannot do is tell people what their local ordinances / laws are concerning these guns (especially people OUTSIDE of the US). I can tell you that they are perfectly LEGAL right here in Kaliforneeya – where an AK-type rifle is NOT…

If you needed to feed that thing for when the sky proverbally rains fire and near rains blood, you know it'd be worth it...
