    First Fighter

This is my first fighter style, I'm rather happy with it.

1065 clay hardened in water, (didn't get the ashi I was looking for )
4.5" handle, 5.5" Blade, balances "perfectly" (IMNSHO)
Ebony scales with brass pins and 1/4" thong tube

the touchmark is "CROWBAR" in honor of the gentleman at Bowies hammerin that decided to bestow upon me such righteous moniker :jdevil:

    looks nice, a little...rugged.

but the grind looks nice, swedge and all. I have never understood why taper the tang out and make the scales thicker. I cant tell if you did, maybe slightly, why do that?

i did not, but the typical reason for it is to change the point of balance on the blade, less metal in the handle makes for a tip heavy configuration

this one balances almost perfectly at the front of the scales
