Photo Intensive - New Knives Received today

The joys of USPS and UPS, I received some new knives today; 1 courtesy of Master Smith R. L. Smith; three from Semper-708 (Yeah Brad) and one from E-Bay (a blind squirrel do find a nut once in a while.) Here are some photos that I took this evening. I am trying to avoid the auto features of my DSLR so I have been working with f-stop and shutter speed. Using 2-500 Watt tungsten work lights I think the camera was set at f4 and 1/40th of a second.

Thanks Ron for a very nicely forged knife with beautiful stag. The only thing I didn't capture was the hamon (forge line) it is present but is faint. I still am very grateful for the opportunity to have bought a knife like this from a Master Smith.

Nice photos Tim, you do a great job, do you use a light tent for these, I just got one, looks like it will make a big difference, I use the auto program on my slr digital camera, I have not taken the step like you have yet to play with the setting.
