wow, next time blow it up while drunk. just get a paper cup, fill it with black powder, compact it, get a pill capsul that you can take apart, fill that with gun powder and stick a fuse in it, then stick that thingy into the black powder and tape it all up, then put it in the pumpkin, light it and run

I learned alittle about cutting. The spine on the Winston I choose was too thick!!! The blade was so sharp though it had no problem halving the pumpkin

OK, go get one of the Pumpkin Masters kits at the local Wally world or whatever. Use the scraper to thin out the shell till it is between 1/2 and 3/4" thick. Then use the little jigsaw blades they give you (mounted on a nice handle) to do your cutting. You'll be amazed at what you can do to a pumpkin. I know it's fun to use a nice knife, but they really aren't the right tool for the job. The problems are that the spine is too thick (as noted) and that the distance from the cutting edge to the spine is too long (tall, whatever) for you to have good control. Spend the $5 on the pumpkinmasters kit!
Yeah, I am going to get the kit and another replacement pumpkin and try this again tomorrow night. I will keep taking the pictures and who knows how many pumpkins I will go through to have one with the final candle in it.
