Anyone want this used snake? He only has one count of murder against him
Lanesville -- A 23-year-old Southern Indiana man found dead in a shed near his home was crushed to death by his 14-foot pet python, authorities said Tuesday.

"The medical examiner's office has determined that the cause of death is consistent with asphyxia due to compression around the neck and chest area," said Indiana Conservation Officer Mark Farmer.
Patrick Von Allmen was found unresponsive in the shed near Lanesville, about 15 miles west of Louisville, Ky., Monday evening. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Harrison County coroner.
Von Allmen had been alone with the snake in the shed for about three hours before he was discovered. The 14-foot reticulated python was loose in the shed.
The family had obtained the snake five months ago as a pet, Farmer said.

I had a 13 foot python. That bastard tried to kill me I think. I brought him to the pet store witin an hour of the incident. I tried to tell myself he was just cold and looking for warmth.

One of my college roommates - back in the 60's - had a boa constrictor, about 5 feet long. During the day it slept, uncaged, in the front window of our rowhouse. We were the only house on the block that was never broken into. We didn't have mice, either. She put it a cage sometimes.

I had snakes in college. A 4 foot ball python and a 5-6 foot red tailed boa. The ball python was loose alot of the time. Never did have any problems.

I was at a buddies house getting drunk, walked into the bathroom and started to take a leak. His 10 foot burmese python was coiled on top of the bathroom door looking down at me. It got my attention and my friend got a good laugh.
