When I opened the other thread and saw the drawing I thought it wouldn't work out very well, after seeing it being put into actual steel for a prototype it looks pretty cool.

Interested to see how well it flips. Definitely thinking way outside the box with this one.

That thing is crazy. I've never heard of niolox, what's the advantage of using it over stainless steel?

Been waiting on updates on this ......that blade very interesting....thanks and great job

I'm not sure that will be a great flipper , but i will try a video when it will be complete.

Niolox is a steel with niobium,

    Carbon (C) 0,8%
    Chromeium (Cr) 12,7%
    Molybden (Mo) 1,1%
    Vanadium (V) 0,9%
    Niobium (Nb) 0,7%
    Iron (Fe) Rest

The niobium make small and tough very small carbide, the edge is ultra aggressiv, that is sharp, the edge retention is good, and that is more or less soo easy to sharpen than a 1095 . But that is a pain to grind after heat treatment.

My best , i don't think because it won't be a flipper nor an user . But the funniest, that is possible

Easy, that is if you have all the right equipment at home (and if you took some time before to have done one or two hundred of balisong )
