Anyone know anything about Randall Knives?

I saw this today at the Flea Market. I've been told it was made in the 1940's? Anyone know anything about these?? It belongs to a friend of mine at the market and I told him I'd try to find out something about it...Thanks

Sorry I posted this in the wrong section..it didn't look like a mass production knife to me...

You might try to Google Randall Knives.

That knife WAS a very valuable one.

We need Sheldon Wickhersham - here on the Forum - to look at it but It is hard for me to believe that you never heard of Randall Knives.

Looks like a Re-handle to me but I'll leave the call to Sheldon.

Early Randalls in Proper Condition are usually worth four figures - I fear yours is a goner.

    Thumbs up

    Thanks Mike.

OP, it may be WWII era, or from sometimes in the 1940's - it has been well-used, rehandled, and isn't worth more than a few hundred dollars as is. As Mike mentioned, if original and in good shape it would be worth several thousand dollars and up.

If you're looking to sell it, I'd suggest you put it on eBay with a low starting figure and just let 'er rip...there's no telling what the market might bring.

Hope that helps, and thanks for doing what you do out there...

    Thanks Shel.

I'm pretty sure that even the guard is a replacement.

Even though it's not what it could be, It's still pretty cool.
