Thumbs up i spent the weekend doing something different :)

as some of you may know, im being forced to move my shop due to zoning issues in my city. well this weekend i spent at the tree farm which will be known as Area 51 a highly secure undisclosed location in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains.

i have the estimation for getting power back to the new shop site from A.E.P 477 feet of wire 3 poles and and a transformer they need a 20 foot right of way also a book worth of legal documents for the neighbor and myself to sign. i spent the weekend running the brush hog and i started on the right of way

all is going well already have a nice pile of wood

    the little tractor that could

i was a sawyer for the U.S.F.S in montana

Damn im a little rusty first time in very very very long time i missed

enter the case 450 dozer (thank god the neighbor heard me swearing)

    pulled it right out

    anyone need fire wood??

that's it I'm wore out and need a shower in the worst way

Good to see those Kevlar chaps Lon. Line Safety would've busted you for the lack of a hardhat though...

That one tree you knocked down looks like a tulip tree... what other kind of trees you bringing down? Gonna save some wood for knife handles, Lon?

yes it was a tulip tree most of them are black locust which make great fence posts a few are small maple but i doubt they are curly or birds eye. i dont think i can get much out of them other than fire wood and fence posts

Lon, I want you to know you're essentially my all-American hero. Yea, I said it. And if I lived closer I would be right there with you. In the meantime, I've been a little busy too...
