    Oliver Knives Build Off Entry

Well I'm not much for doing a WIP. I had a bit of slack time between orders and decided to WIP this out. I dreamed it up last year and never had time to build it.
I think its very Jerzee Devilish and halloweenish.
I know these things are supposed to drag out for several months and build anticipation.........but I just cant do that with fun projects.
Then they say to get your thread started.........so here it is.

The blade is a ladder pattern from HHH and the horn damascus is from ADS , the skull is a resin casting I found online and dyed Red.
I think it turned out well. I got the back of the guard a bit small and had to sand on the skull a bit , then it didnt dye like the rest.
Ohh well , next time around.
    On to the pics.
    Prep the skull and flatten.

The guard ready for shaping/slotting and the blade hollow ground and HT'ed

Just the blade before finishing. This was my FIRST double edge grind, Mheee..... not perfect , but not horribly bad.

Guard fitted to the blade and skull , now to forge the horns and shape the guard.

Here it is after dyeing the skull in RIT Dye and glueing it all together.

    Real Punchy-Stabby type of knife.

I made a leather sheath with 2 rare earth magnets to hold it in. Dyed the white string I had red and used red paracord for the lanyard.

(there is a shadow on the cutting edge, upper left hand side, its there)

Thanks for looking , it was fun to build

Looks like the medallion of a Warlock or some shit. You set the bar high early.

I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

Looks like something Doc Holiday would whip out and shank the crap outta someone with during a poker game in Hell. Sweet looking knife, and I dig the magnets, thats a great idea.
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."
