So I been trying to sell this microtech....
Its was a black d/e ultratech in new condition. I say was.
My boss (who happens to be a millionaire, jus sayin) says he wants the knife for the stated price of $165. I think it was very good price considering I hadn't really used the knife at all since I bought it brand new for $225. So I tell boss man he can tote the knife around in his pocket and make sure he likes it... I should have just had him pay immediately.
Boss disappeared for a week. Once he came back to work, he informs he that he has changed his mind about the purchase. He made a bullshit cut my throat offer on the price after originally agreeing on the stated price. I declined said throat cutting, so he handed me the knife and I walked away.
Then I look at the knife. It is visibly worn without even opening it. The slide feels gummy. I fire the blade. It barely deploys. The blade is wet. The holes are filled with mud. I retract the blade. You can hear that the housing is full of mud. I fire again. Then wipe the blade down. It is scratched from tip to base all the way in several places. I imagine him stabbing the roof of a car repeatedly.
I say it was a new Microtech for sale. Its not now. Anybody want a beater switchblade?
I let him know he damaged my stuff. He repeated the same cut-my-throat offer. I declined.
So my question is this: what would you do if this happened to you? I've worked here for years and am in good reference with all.
I know there isn't much I can actually do. Ill just fix the thing up and sell it to someone else for less than I was anticipating. I'm jus saying - is this guy totally a cocksmith or is just me?
