    cocksmith-ery

So I been trying to sell this microtech....

Its was a black d/e ultratech in new condition. I say was.

My boss (who happens to be a millionaire, jus sayin) says he wants the knife for the stated price of $165. I think it was very good price considering I hadn't really used the knife at all since I bought it brand new for $225. So I tell boss man he can tote the knife around in his pocket and make sure he likes it... I should have just had him pay immediately.

Boss disappeared for a week. Once he came back to work, he informs he that he has changed his mind about the purchase. He made a bullshit cut my throat offer on the price after originally agreeing on the stated price. I declined said throat cutting, so he handed me the knife and I walked away.

Then I look at the knife. It is visibly worn without even opening it. The slide feels gummy. I fire the blade. It barely deploys. The blade is wet. The holes are filled with mud. I retract the blade. You can hear that the housing is full of mud. I fire again. Then wipe the blade down. It is scratched from tip to base all the way in several places. I imagine him stabbing the roof of a car repeatedly.

I say it was a new Microtech for sale. Its not now. Anybody want a beater switchblade?

I let him know he damaged my stuff. He repeated the same cut-my-throat offer. I declined.

So my question is this: what would you do if this happened to you? I've worked here for years and am in good reference with all.

I know there isn't much I can actually do. Ill just fix the thing up and sell it to someone else for less than I was anticipating. I'm jus saying - is this guy totally a cocksmith or is just me?
How are you gonna talk to me? Your knife isn't even sharp.

Send it to Will Moon, he will fix it right up for you .

Ok, ok. Totally lame, he fucked your knife up. Not sure what to do other then clean it out and keep it as a user.

Not opening , you can use Zippo lighter fluid to flush it, MT's love naphtha, as a lube cleaner.

As for the boss, he is a shit-heal. He won't pay what you are asking, and if he cared from the start he would have been honest about screwing up the knife.

He doesn't care, plain and simple.

Guy sounds like a piece of shit to me.

I'd quietly look for a new job. I worked for a guy like that for waaaaaaay too long at one point and If I learned anything it's to stay the fuck away from that type of boss.

Thanks yall. I knew their was fuckery afoot. I just wanted to hear someone else say it. . . .

... in a fun sidenote to a crap day, my friend and I were frisked by the cops. I had a switchblade (not the cocksucking microtech) plus a case knife, and he had two balisongs. We were given the knives back and told to ush along...

I have a manager down here who NEVER goes out in public without his entire family with him.

Sounds like you have a similar type there.

I don't know what it is that makes a person such an absolute twit that they would feel they should get away with ruining your knife and acting like they weren't responsible.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. As much as it pains me to say it, you should never trust anyone with one of your knives unless you expect it to get trashed.

I let a guy play my late '60s cherry-red ES-335 while he was watching my house while I was on vacation. When I got back, it had belt buckle rash all over the back of it. Well... only had myself to blame. I DID tell him he could play it. I never let him play any of my guitars again but I learned a valuable lesson.

Okay, I give up. What's this have to do with a guy trashing someone else's property?
Is there anything a man don't stand to lose,

I am sorry if you have to deal with a fucktard like that. If you asked me, I think he tries make it seemed 'used' to the point that he can give you a lowball offer. I gotten into the same shit a long time ago, but that was in elementary school.

Sounds like he got money for new tires too. Set up a couple drywall screws behind his wheels.

There is your mistake. Live and learn

    And by the way

Your Boss dont respect you. It sucks but sometimes people in a postion of authority use it to treat others like shit.

Bide your time wisely and find another job. Not all boss's treat their employees like shit.

After you find another job, I heard super glue gel in a door lock or locks
would make opening the door a very exspensive job. Just sumthing I heard.
