Numbered prototypes for the D-Guard model.....

    The DDS!

These are the six prototypes for the d-guard project I started way back. Finally got caught up enough to work on them. Starting out with six numbered proto's in 5/16th's A2. 8.5" blades, 15" OAL.

    From left to right...

#1 Hollow ground sort of traditional (profile) tanto, #2 hollow ground Bowie/clip point, #3 Flat ground Bowie, #4 Americanized tanto/compound grind, #5 More rounded Lum style tanto, and finally #6 Dagger that I will never do again cuz it drove me more crazy.

    Dagger in hand...

If you want one let me know via PM as these are not spoken for (being offered first here). They will be marked Prototype 01, 02 and so on. The hollow ground Bowie and the Lum style tanto will become the regular model for later builds. Price on these will be $675 shipped with a drop leg kydex rig.

Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think.

    I hate shaving!

Thanks buddy! I cropped as much of my mug out as I could and I always avoid the pelvic region now when I do size reference shots

That flat ground bowie is gorgeous.

I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

It is very nice. Why does the hollow ground bowie get the invite to the regular line-up get the nod, while this beaut languishes in proto-land?

    Simple laziness my friend

I personally have to work much harder for a flat grind so.....

Truthfully....The profile is the same and I will be able to flat or hollow grind them. So there will be fewer flat ground ones but I will do them. I really like flat grinds and have been doing them more and more lately.

    Numbers 4, 5, and 6 are GONE!

1,2, and 3 available. Won't really start promoting them until later this week so if you are on the fence, go for it. When they are gone there will not be more for a long time.

    Thanks for the great comments!

These are all heat treated and ready for scales so finished pics will start rolling in soon. Really happy with how they are looking.

    Stay tuned!

Looking forward to seeing them with scales, Martin! At least let us know what scales you're thinking about using . . .

Just remember what old Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right square in the eye and he says "Give me your best shot pal. I can take it."
