Get a metal cutting band saw. They are not cheap.

I use a Harbor Freight vertical/horizontal band saw to get it close and grind it the rest of the way. You can also use a angle grinder with a cut off wheel. I have used a jig saw, but it takes some time.
I'm going to guess that all of your failures prior to the "revolution" will pale in comparison to how hard your life will be afterward. You will not rise to the occasion. If you can't succeed in a structured, ordered society, you will continue to fail miserably when winning friends and influencing people becomes vitally important.

I suggest you read everything you can-google is your friend. There's more than enough info on the net to answer any question you have if you google correctly.
I also suggest you spend more time with the person who's making the damascus. Hands on expierence trumps internet expierence.

Dingo wants to make balis. One day he may make a knife, as anything is possible. Not likely of course, and he is apparently ginning up for framelocks, having mastered the butchery of alterations-work, crappy fixed blades which are not sharp, and balisongs which are made of expensive tinkertoys. Don't follow that path!

Simple is good, less is more. Only what needs to be on the knife, nothing more.

But Shep is correct, pay attention to what you're getting from the Damascus guy.

Making mistakes does not make you an idiot - it is the failure to learn from mistakes which accomplishes that task.
