    Tip Heavy EDC

Whats something beefy, with a strong tip (thinking tanto maybe?) with lockup like a ZT or Sebenza, thats durable enough to do some prying, real light prying like taknig the safety clip off the wheel of a lighter?

i was looking at an Emerson Super CQC-7 perhaps.

its a good looking grind, unique, has G10 (YAY), titanium liners even, and i hear the chisel grind can get retarded sharp

what are your thoughts on tank-knives for more vigorous tasks? i EDC even if its heavy.

post pics if you can please, lets get down to the nitty gritty on

    real EDC use

EDC use i mean things we do literally every day. i know i dont open boxes all day, but maybe cutting plastic bottles or even coke cans to start germinated seeds for big fat tomatoes

i thought the wave feature on this thing looked like a great bottle opener. weather it be pressure sealed lids on jars (i can my own food) or bottles with beer-cap lids this could probably pop those open easily.

what else can one do with a practial and cool looking knife that has real every day function? of course without getting gimmicky haha

Knives are for cutting - if you wan to pry use the right tool.

If you're in the habit of pulling things apart and maybe wanting to get them back together I suggest a good multitool.

For EDC I'm hooked on Emersons.... They can take a beating and still keep going. The CQC7 is one of the less expensive ones also! You'd be happy with it IMO

The Emersons are great carry blades but it hurts me to think of using one as a prybar, even for light tasks

What are you thinking man??? Save the blade for cutting and get yourself a mini prybar or a multi-tool to throw in the EDC lineup. Your blade will thank you

A multi-tool would serve your needs much better....save your good knife for proper use.

Yep a mini pry bar is a good suggestion, but as far as a beefy edc, I just got a microtech socom elite manual folder, and it is beefy, strong tip, and full size, im not a fan of small blades...

Spyderco navaja is pretty stout at tip, more so than I'd like in fact. I have a countycomm pry bar on my keys for those type of things.
