Nathan Dewey balisongs

most of you are aware how i feel about nathan's work. his customer service is wonderful. i've seen him cover some insane 'warranty' type stuff. he has called me on the phone to verify my custom orders, because my computer was down. he has gone above and beyond to make his customers happy.

i have a custom 29 cm balisong with g10 handles and a bowie blade, latchless. my wife has a custom 29 cm balisong with g10 handles and a spring latch which she carries and uses regularly. both of these knives came super sharp and are still super sharp. the weight is balanced VErY well, and the flip super smooth.

i just recently purchased a second hand Fiend#15. made on 04/29/2011. the blade is STiLL super sharp, and everything is still sound. flipping action is super smooth (had to oil it, i prefer a small shot of remoil, and wipe the excess off with a q-tip).... but i am amazed how well these dewey blades are built. and i will be posting pics of the knives in my possession on this thread.

now i wanna see more. post yours..... and pm me if u wanna sell them! lol

I made the handle slabs, Nathan cleaned them up and did everything else.

One of the absolute smoothest flippers I own, somewhere around 8 oz...she's a stout little fucker.

Last time I flipped it, it filleted of part of the pad of my pinky.

I like hearing this kind of stuff. I remember when he posted about his first knife. His recent work is worlds apart!!! I do remember seeing square/hex nuts being used in the pivots. LOL

I sent him a blade I ground from a file and he did the handles. Now he is sending me a file blade and I am making the handles.

I have a Nathan Dewey fiend with Blue G10 handles. It is a blast to flip. Still super sharp.

One time I had a problem with it and Nathan completely replaced the handles (maybe the spacers too, can't remember). I got my knife back in like a week and the changes were a big improvement. Haven't had a problem since.

Nathan has GREAT customer service skills and his knives rock. I would highly recommend his knives to anyone without hesitation.

Nathans work has come a long way in a short time, he's one to watch in the industry, to be sure. It's also good to see some of the younger people getting involved in the industry as well. Keep up the good work, Nathan.
