You are entering a world that raising your sons has given you none of the tools required , but knowing you , I think you will be a fine leader.
I coached youth hockey at every level over an 18 year span , so I know what kind of issues you might see.
Most of them will come from the parents.
The kids are easy.
Good for you Mike.
You'll love it , and are now in a unique position of leaving these kids with life long lessons and memories.

I still have fond memories of my years as a Scout , and after all the self abuse I have endured over time , it's a fucking miracle I can remember anything.
But you get to mold minds and foster beliefs , and have fun while you are at it.
A lot of power and responsibility , but if you are doing it right , you'll be having so much fun that it won't seem to be as significant as it really is.
