    Hablamos Espanol?

Here is a Spanish "Destroyer" 7.65 caliber 9 shot pistol made by I. Gaztanaga in Eibar, Spain that I bought today. Some of these pistols were bought and used by the French military during WWI. They were also made post WWI and pre-WWII. It has a lanyard ring on the grip as well. Someone used what appears to have been a hammer, to the front of the slide; probably to loosen a stuck slide...bubba at his best.

Matching serial numbering on the slide, barrel, frame, magazine.

The French acceptance mark is on the left side bottom of the troggerguard to handle junction , an F .
Does it say Destroyer ? These were made by a couple manufacters and are known generically as "Ruby" pistols. They usually shoot well to the tiny sights as they are large for a .32acp.

That's not a hammer mark on the muzzle.
With the French Armorer mark it was more than likely dropped once after the French Officer raised his hands to give up.
Luck of the draw, this one landed muzzle down.
