    Boker plus face lift.

So I have to agree that the boker plus balisong that I picked up was just a little too close to the benchmade product. So I had to make it a little more unique. I did the same effect on the spacers only those were not torched. The goal was not for uniform color but for a variety of colors without looking like a toddler did it. Im pleased with the results. One liner came out brighter than the rest but Im betting that is due to the impurity of chinese Titanium.

lol. Thanks. Ive done a lot of knife embellishing. I just have this thing where I have to make knives somthing more of my own. I think I only have 2 or three knives that I didnt modify. But only because they were made in a way that really doesnt lend themselves to modifying.

I think it looks much better than the original!

Ano'd or torched (what kind of torch)? Something I've always wanted to try.

This was done with a Burns o matic torch. Not the hand held small guys but the medium hand held units that use the 1 liter tanks. Also If you want to try doing it I strongly recommend either etching with chemicals or etching with abrasives. If you go the abrasives route wash the parts in windex and dont touch it afterwards. It really helps the color pop. Etching it helps the colors pop. IF you want to get that strider look you want to bead blast the finish if it isnt all ready. Then after it has been bead blasted do an Oxy clean bath to darken the Titanium and then torch it.

IMHO yes it does. I must disclose though that the most advanced tricks I know are rolls and thumb rolls. I can only say that the tricks that I do know come easier on this knife than the others Ive owned in the past and Ive owned a lot. I think the knife makes a better flipper than the 51 but its not as well refined.
