Thread: Mcnees Folder WIP

    Mcnees Folder WIP

I got a text from JM that the first batch of folders is starting... I distinctly remember a verbal commitment to a photo WIP of these back in the day. I would hate to see the first non-proto folders go undocumented...

This is just a gentle/subtle reminder....

So, is there a list? Are these all sold? How do I get my grubby paws on one? They look awesome! Nice job(as always).

Why is it acceptable for you to be an asshole, but un-acceptable for me to point it out?

Bro.. I would PM Jonathan to get on that list....I'm not sure how many of the first batch are spoken for...

Hey Jonathan How many of those liner rectangle blanks can you rough out in to handle shapes at a time? I mean can you clamp a couple together and shape a couple at once or is it one liner at a time?

    SB, pm incoming..

Eric, the liners get done one at a time until they're ready to be screwed together. I may try more than one next time and see how it works. I'm trying to go kinda relaxed and easy on these till I get a little more practice.
Once the liners had the pivot holes done, they got mated up to drill the rest of the holes and will stay mated form here out.

    Here we go..
    blades laid out...
    blades profiled...
    cleaned up...
pivot hole drilled and reamed and thumbstud holes done...

If by composition, you mean leaving lots of junk laying around...yeah, I'm great at that!

Hit a little snag yesterday, the blades came out a little too tall, had to take a little off and go back and regained and re-handrub them... Nothing major, though, just a little bump. More pics soon!
