Haha, she was here yesterday, bless her heart, and promised to buy me a new one! She also asked that I intercept a UPS package that she had neglected to change the shipping addy on when she placed the order.
So I suppose the Devilz would advise me to trade the hostage package for the latest version of Mr Clean's Car Wash System?

It's pretty simple, dummy. She came over, I loaned her the tool.

My dad only taught me two things.

    1. Never rat anyone out.
    2. Never buy cheap tools.

I have followed one of these rules very closely to this day, but Harbor Freight and Big Lots makes it hard to follow the other.

I do have some Chi-com tools in my assortment.........Harbor Freight tube notcher............they are cheap.
The Ol' Joint Jigger is around 150.00.
    The Commie clone is 45.00.
I think this is the last roll cage I will build , so it made sense. Sort of.
They use a hole saw to notch tube ends for fitting the joints together. The notch is maybe 1/16th off center , the hole saw cannot pass through the tube without pulling it back once you are 90% of the way through , taking a pliers and removing the center of the cut from the hole saw path and resuming your cut.
So I probably had 100.00 worth of sonofabitching in addition to my 45.00 initial outlay.
    I saved 5.00 and learned a lesson.
Fuck , I could sell a used Joint Jigger for 75.00 I bet.
    I also have a Chi-com D/A , but since I don't do body work , this one might last.
I used it to smooth out the wheel wells when I added 3 " on the inside to gain more tire clearance , and I may use it again at some point.
In my experience , they are shit. Power tools , hand tools , " precision " measuring tools and car parts.
    All shit.

Always! I have some good Snap-On tools that my friends want to use all the time. The problem is they want to use them for stupid shit, like hang a picture... Mr. China Tool can do that just fine.

It kind of like when they ask me to use my damascus Pro-tech Godfather to open up a package

Throw a wrench at her next time you see her. That'll learn her, unless it is a Snap-On, in which case it'll take her head right off.

That's the sad part about helping someone in need that doesn't have the appropriate tool, most forget since that shit isn't theirs and/or they don't really care. I hate that.

btw, thanks for loaning me those MT bits back in the day. I think I gave them back.
