I loved that video. I didn't know how to embed it with the original post. It was the main reason I posted that article. Hahahaha

Reason #1 - they make you fat!![]()
and that was the point I was making with my earlier post (although a bit tongue in cheek)
people who say Glock doesn't offer anything new are often people who are in love with a gun that is over 100 years old and who praise it's superiority in the original design
if it works, then it works regardless of who made it
When you can't run anymore, you crawl
if you can't crawl, you find somebody to carry you.
Some people do much better when they just continue making the original.
Assuming of course that it works and people still want it.
I was also a bit surprised at how much the price of new Glocks seems to have gone up in the last few years. I mean everything has, but compared to other pistols that compete, their price increase seems to be a bigger percentage.

"Son, people will always try and fuck you. Don't waste your life planning for a fucking, just be alert when your pants are down."
From an interview with the writer of GLock the rise of America's gun, the Glock should be a $400 gun all day long in its stock form and that is with a healthy profit margin.

I just finished that book and already gave it back to the loaner, so I can't quote the profit percentages, but it was something like 5% for S&W, 25% for Glock - and that after Glock ran up the price through its shell companies by selling its own guns to itself repeatedly before they hit the open market...![]()
well, if they can get more profit for them..............................more power to them
to me, it's not what it cost to make. It's what people are willing to pay for them
take custom knives for example. I venture to say that there's more than 25% profit margin on them (for established makers with plenty of practice)

I'm going to guess that all of your failures prior to the "revolution" will pale in comparison to how hard your life will be afterward. You will not rise to the occasion. If you can't succeed in a structured, ordered society, you will continue to fail miserably when winning friends and influencing people becomes vitally important.
I liked the story of wild parties they had at strip clubs back then. That was a very good book. I was able to read a Pre-release copy since I review stuff for Amazon, as a hobby.

Well, the Glock 30 .45acp shoots well, and I'm still fat. My first round at 6.5 yards at the new local indoor range (they have a nifty little electronic counter dealie) was centered two inches low, the second round was one inch low and a half inch left, and my next eight rounds completely blew out the X.
Kari, a Glock 17 shooter put her first two about where I did, then blew out the X with her next six rounds. Janet, a XDm 9mm shooter had one flyer on her fourth round of six, a half inch high and left, but otherwise blew out the X.
And so it continued at 8, 10, and 12 yards until I used up the 100 rnds brought. Kari's Gen. 3 RTF2 Glock 17 is probably the most accurate handgun I can remember shooting in some time. 15x at 8 yards on my first, downloaded by one, magazine.
Only money I was ever willing to shell out for a tupperware pistol was an XD. Sold it off in favor of a gen 3 Smith. Couldn't get behind the Glock craze for whatever reason. If they work for you, great. If not, yup, there are lots of quality alternatives.
Its funny how anything new brings out the crazies. The Gen 4 glock is the first glock I have picked up and thought the grip did not feel like a leggo block. There were some growing pains with the new recoil spring design that have been handled, but just like anything someone posts on the internet the problem was highly over hyped.
Fore every 50 internet parrots claiming the gen 4 wont work correctly, there may be one of them with actual experience with a gen 4 Glock. Same with Kimber 1911s, I herd from a guy who read somewhere that there may be an issue with something. 95% bullshit.
How many guys have actually had issues, personally?
The video was funny though.
I have a gen 4 G19 that has run perfectly, has a test fire date of 3/17/12 so it is well beyond the worry dates with the recoil spring issue. Just saying , don't believe everything you read. I have never been a fan of Glocks but wanted a simple reliable gun for the house if the wife should need it.

I had 2 Kimbers and they both were unreliable. Pro and Ultra Raptor 2.
I'm not a fanboy. I have Glocks, an XDm and may get an HK some time, as well as a Wilson.
