Moon Orion Balisong Prototypes

These are the first two Orions made, they're the original prototypes I put together after the CAD redesign and switch from G10 handles to titanium. These are absolute tanks. Blades are .2 inch precision ground ATS-34 with a professional heat treat from East Carolina Heat Treat and nitrogen quenching, with 5 inches of cutting surface (this is a larger Balisong). The handles are .23 inch thick 6Al4V Ti that have been hand profiled with 6Al4V Ti precision ground backspacers.

The knives feature a Begg pin derivative system, meaning the stop pins are in the inside of the blade, leaving no external tang pins or zen pins. They have custom made PB washers that keep dust from entering the system. The knives have Ti internals with quarter inch precision ground pivots and a PB bushing system, so the action is increadibly smooth.

Each blade is hand ground with a lum style tanto grind and has a mosaic pin inlay set in the tang of the blade.

Price is 650$ (675$ via regular paypal w/ no mention of knives or USPS MO) a piece for either the satin/cosmic anodized knife or the polished/mirror anodized knife. Paypal rules do not allow for the requesting of fees. Nor does state law in most places.

If you want to use paypal and acct for fees, add 3.5% to your price maybe?

I bet if you asked Blade HQ they'd clear one out to you at a lot less, and maybe they'd even publish selling it to you for a LOT less. That would be some justice for the hosebag Will Moon.

The maker is a complete fucking tool.

He was actually selling them for less than his dealers, who were mainly conned into buying these abortions.

That is the mark of a genuine asshole, to undercut the guys who bet on you and bought your stuff. Supported the maker when he was nothing. Now he is nothing with a web page and youtube channel.

He is also famous for failing to communicate with anyone who he's conned into buying his gear, so if you ever had a problem with it, good luck.

If you have to have one, talk with BHQ and see what kind of screaming deal he's willing to give you to get this crap out of his warehouse. And if you make a deal, publish this, so Will gets his just deserts. Will has nobody to blame but himself for this.
