Bark river "Bravo necker 1" CPM3V

Hi all here a quick review about the bravo necker i just got from
knivesshipfree.com First of all i will recommend about them as a super fast supplier i got the knife after 4 days (Im from israel..so darn fast)
very well padded envelope. so, i will recommend this store for international buyers like me.

    NOW LETS START!
    The knife specs:
    Overall Length: 6.250 in
    Blade Length: 2.5 in
    Blade Steel: CPM3V
    Steel Thickness: .130 in
    Weight: 1.5 oz
    Weight with Handles: 2.375 oz
    Finish: Electrostatic Powder Coat
    Hardness: 60RC

    First impression:
ok, so the knife have very good proportion (handle size and blade size)
Very good skeleton handle that fit and fill very good in hand.
the grind is convex super sharp, shave and cut like a champ.
overall looking of the knife is 9/10 very sexy knife.
coating color fits my uniform color super well and i love it.

now lets talk about the knife more specific

okie, so lets start with the sheath.
hmm designed pretty good but scratching the blade like hell
so for the collectors between us.. i might stay away from it. lol
For me? idk the scratch don't really bother but again, its a new knife and the first scratch came from the sheath...
    sheath: 6/10

hmm lets talk about the handle and coating
the handle fits and finish fill awesome in hand very well balanced and even whiteout any scales or paracord on it, still fill good even when I'm holding it with force.
for long period cutting (?!) i will recommend a scales that can be purchase from the suppliers.
u have those thumb grip on top of spine, very hardcore cuts thet keep ur thumb where she supposed to be.
hmm coating, very good hardcore coating that will stay on the handle. and i don't see any way that the coating is gonna leave any soon lol.
    hmm
the coating is removed from the blade for extra "free glide cuts"
    handle and coating: 9/10

    Blade and Grind:
okie. so its a CPM3V. Very good steel here some info about her: http://www.crucible.com/eselector/pr...ie/cpm3vt.html

keep her edge superbly very strong that even with this small blade can get abused.

the grind is convex its a razor sharp and very good sharpened by the pros at bark river's.

overall blade and grind : 9/10

hmm NOW is it Good for a military dude use? and if i think i can trust it as my neck knife ( my second blade and in a lot of times it will be my first blade)???
    the answer is HELL YEAH!!!
i liked it a lot! fits my standards as a SF army man. i will carry it into the field, i will use it and i will EDC it around the base lol.
i don't carry any knife on my my neck i can't (professional issues lol)
so the size of a neck knife is perfect for my secondary blade.

here some pictures of the knife on my combat belt as EDC in base and in my hand :

as u see perfect color to my combat uniform

    HOPE U LIKED IT!!!!

Thanks for the Great Review - it was very straight forward.

We are designing a new sheath for the Bravo-Neckers - I really don't like the existing one.

The new necker IIs will have the re-designed sheaths.

Yes - sheaths - From now on The Bravo-Neckers will come with two sheaths.

One for the knife as is and another sheath for use with the detachable handles.

I still think that the handles make the knife a ton more usable.

Nope - Just remember that it is tool steel.

Pretty rust resistant tool steel but tool steel all the same.

A very light coat of any good lubricant from time to time will get the job done.

    Yes sir.

It will work fine - Use it sparingly - just like you do on your Bullpup.

I have had the bravo necker for over a year now and think it is one of the handiest knives around. for me the handles were a must, super comfy.

I am EAGERLY awaiting the new sheath. Probably the only weakness when it comes the this little cutter.
