My tip to anybody looking to drink a certain beer that you can't get here or want to pay for, just find something with a similar profile, there are plenty of beers out there with the mouth watering citrus profile of The Elder. I mean christ, you guys have Hopslam over there!

I usually drink Shiner, Sam Adams, Fat Tire or 1554. My buddy is a homebrewer and sometimes gives me some good stuff to try. Yesterday I got 2 Pumpkins and a Russian Imperial Stout. He told me to wait a week or so before enjoying them.

For quite a few years I was drinking the special micro brewery beers. I caught myself before I turned into a beer snob. Now I prefer Carlsberg or Becks.

It tastes every bit as dark as it looks. Definitely a food beer.

Only poor quality beer needs to be ice cold.....so that you can't taste it.

I'll probably buy another bottle or two and experiment with different times in the refrigerator. I don't like warm beer, but maybe just chilled would be best.

Both of you are men after my own heart. Also if you guys enjoy prime rib, we should all synchronize our meals together and post about our beers and steaks haha... no homo. I do this a lot with my out of city friends who are still in college.

Thanks for the greenies guys! Glad to see I'm not the only one
