Sorry Richard.........there's just something about him that I don't like.
Trust me there is a huge line up of fans here that would like to see the back of him too. I was a proud Canadian when he got the starting goalie position in the 2010 Olympics beating out Brodeur but he did not carry the Canucks through to our first Stanley Cup this year. Sure he was stellar in a few games but was basically bombed in a few games versus the Bruins.

Quite honestly these huge salaries for goalies are just plain nuts. Give me a good goalie making 3 - 4 mil per year any day. 7 - 10 mil is insanity and its proven to be a weight on the players shoulders that they can not live up to for the fans.

Luckily our back up has been great every time time he has played for us.

The Oilers have a ton of young talent, they will be a serious threat in a couple years.

    Whats this?

We beat the only unbeaten team left in the league last night.

Oilers are tops in the northwest?

Lowest goals against in the league?

Khabi has a .964 save percentage?

The third best penalty kill in the league? (powerplay is 13th)

What did they do to last years Oilers?

I guess all that is left to do is plan the parade

Amazing what a decent road trip can do for a team barely around .500 hockey.

Arrive home on a Sunday with the Wild waiting for them. Usually first game after a long road trip is not a good one, at least historically for the Canucks. What do they do? Dominate the best team 4 - 0? Each goal was a high light reel goal.

(Sorry Tubtar, not gloating, just freakin amazed)

Richard............ you guys beat the Houston Aeros.
    Call a spade a spade.
They are missing three of their top four forwards.........couple that with a couple mediocre performances and I am officially cancelling the parade.
In reality , they are much improved , but not the best team in the league by any stretch.
First through ninth in the west is separated by eight points I think , and nine points in the east.
Still , Boston , Chicago and Philly impress me.
    Pittsburgh not quite as much.
They will have a solid regular season , but don't have the grit to be killers in April from where I sit.
The Wild can't be giving away six of eight points if they want me to take them seriously though , and those who say that they picked up two points via shoot out / over time are missing the fact that they lost.
    And winners win.
Luongo had him a game by the sound of it..........I got to listen to the first period before I had to leave the truck.........fucking hotel didn't have fox sports , so I couldn't see for myslelf.
It sounded like they had some chances in the first though and Roberto did his job for a change.

Oh great! the Wild are here on thursday, not looking forward to that shitshow.

Hopefully having the best team in the house will motivate the team especially the "old timer" line.

Horc, Hemmer and Smytty need to start making up points, the kid line has 90 points these guys have 51 and have been hurt more (inevidibly)

Sometimes i feel like burning my Horcoff jersey, his contract is insulting given his production take that C away and give it to Smytty IMO.

Here's a question for you folks, How many players on your team have played every game so far?

The Oilers are down to 8 players already

I am coming to believe that the "C" on Iginla's sweater stands for cunt.
I used to like the guy , but his diving and embellishing takes a lot away from the warrior he used to be.

The juniors are in town so . . . GO CANADA!!! tourney split between here and Calgayry but IIRC the finals are down there

I'm about 2.5 km away so this is a pretty big banner

ETA - Just looked out the window it's not 100% dark here yet (the sun did set at 4:14 local time) and i think there are either red lights outlining the jerseys or it's actually being lit up.

    Very Cool Markous!

Nucks game last night vs the Wings.

Geez where to start, oh yah, we won 4 - 2.

Refereeing was suspect though. Kesler was steamrolled by a hit where the guy clearly left his feet to lay a hit on Kesler's head. Kesler got 2 minutes for roughing after the play. hmmm not sure about that one. While Kes was in the box Edler drove to the net on Howard with Wing behind Edler pushing him. Howard stopped shot, knocked over by Edler and Canucks score on rebound. Refs allow the goal and Howard goes nuts.

Overall a good game to watch.

    Poo Bears........ a dynasty!

What'd they do to Florida the other night...... 8 - nada?
20 out of the last 22.
Two goalies playing at the top of their games.

What are the odds they repeat this year? Pretty good I believe.

Hell of a game after two.......I think the third is going to be a little rough.
