Flyers owned the Rangers in the second, seems like the Rangers lost a step....

Henrik looked as if the shadow's were bothering him towards the later half of the period, he's kept them in the game so far...
I too loved Rupp's salute, can't stand Jager anymore.....

Should be a hell of a finish..

Not having a horse in that race , I enjoyed the game immensely.
    Great finish and entertaining game.
The ice was pretty bad , but it was like that for both teams.
Saying Philly had the advantage of playing with the wind for two periods made me laugh............. I have played enough out door hockey to know what an advantage it can be.......at least it wasn't below zero.
Nucks - Sharks was a pretty fair game too...........I'm being objective Richard
I do have a vested interest in teams from the N.W. getting points , but Vancouver deserved at least a point in that one.
Then Russia Vs. The Czech Republic in World jrs. ............ Russia in O.T.
    If I were a lesser man , I'd be hockey-ed out.
Nice way to spend a day off.

I was at the Nucks Sharks game on the 2nd. Middle daughter bought the tickets (my Christmas Present!) and I know it cost her

It was a very even game. No complaints since all the games with the Sharks are usually a one goal game.

What about that Junior game with the Canadians vs Russia??

I tuned in after dinner and we were down 6 - 1. Came back ten minutes later and it was 6 - 5! What a game, sure we lost but what a comeback in 12 1/2 minutes.

I found that one of the most intense, stressful games I've ever watched. Sweden so dominated the Russians, that every time the Russians got a shot, I cringed hoping it wouldn't go in.

Sweden deserved that win and I think we'll see the guy who scored the goal again pretty soon. Great skater, fast, big, strong, and aggressive.

The World Juniors tournament seems to be largely overlooked in the USA, but here in the frozen north, it is a yearly holiday ritual and gets HUGE coverage. There is some seriously fine hockey being played at that level.

    Enjoy Hockey while you can

The NHLPA CBA expires before next season and i just heard the NHLPA has shot down the re-alignment plan.

If they can't even agree on that i fear for the '12-'13 season

It has only been what? 6-7 seasons since the last lockout.

Can some of the teams teams with smaller markets survive another suspended season?

Early game in the lone star state today, the game starts in an hour and a half

Canucks visiting Boston and end of the second period. 3 - 2 Canucks.

Game has had it all, brawls (you would think these guys don't like each other), penalty shot, inconsistent refereeing and that punk Marchand submarining Sami Salo. Hope Salo isn't too badly hurt!

I am probably the only Predators fan on this forum, I just got into hockey last year and we are hooked and became season ticket holders. It is honestly a great family environment and Both my wife and kids love it as much as I do!

We are getting ready for the game tonite!

As big as it is in Canada , it is HUGE in Europe.
The casual fans over there know a lot more than most fans here.
I followed the Belfast team through the U.K. a couple years back , and talking to their fans , I was pleasantly surprised and their level and depth of knowledge.
The World's are more important to them than the Stanley Cup , and they think nothing of traveling to watch games. Their hockey community isn't as large , but they are fanatical about the game.

Congrats on your season tickets! Hope you and your family enjoy the season! I have a buddy in Springfield MO whose brother in law works for the Preds and he gets down to Nashville as often as he can to see the action. The great thing about getting in early is when the team gains recognition and becomes popular the season tickets are a valuable commodity. The Canucks are pushing over 400 consecutive home game sell outs now. Buying tickets from Season Ticket holders usually comes at a premium unless you know the owners.

    Thanks man,

We absolutely love it, we started out with 4 seats and now have 6 so we can all go and take a guest. People who have never been to Bridgestone Arena would be as shocked as I was to see how crazy about Hockey Nashville is!

Doesn't hurt having Carrie Underwood there too

I was driving north from Alabama a few years back and flipping through the dial looking for entertainment.
I just missed the Preds broadcast , but caught the post show , with callers commenting and asking questions.
I was both impressed and amused by the callers.
There were intelligent , pointed questions , but the southern drawl just made listening seem like a SNL skit or something.
What the one caller I remember wanted was pretty close to what they got in Shea Weber.
So management obviously agreed with him.
It just seemed so foreign to me since all my hockey experience was earned north of Iowa.
I know hockey has been played at various levels through out the south..........some of the deals for the lesser leagues made me wish I was still 18.
Playing in North Fla. for about 1000.00 a month ............................and a shared condo , a shared car and unlimited green fees at a local course.
I have friends who played in Baton Rouge for PeeWee Maruk and they had some tales to tell.
Most of the fans didn't understand the game , but loved the team and going to games.
Living up here gives a totally different perspective , and I have options to watch hockey year round at every level imaginable.
But at the end of the day , the NHL is home to the best players and most impressive action.
When the North Stars left , I still had college , high school , junior games to watch.
And I coached for 18 years at every thing from Mite to high school developmental leagues.
After all that , I still get stoked watching the Wild.
I have expressed it like this........... I don't give a fuck if it's knitting , when you watch the best in the world do what they do best , it is something to behold.
It don't hurt having Barry Trotz there either.........one of the best coaches in the game , he has managed to accomplish a lot with less talent than most coaches.

    About ready to give up!

    For Fucks Sakes!!!

The hockey tanking gods are not impressed with the Oilers.

30 stitches to close the gash.

A helmet wouldn't have helped IMO it could have been much, much worse.

To top it off we lost 4-2 to the Bluejackets
