Awesome video review! I love how you changed focus when referring to the jimping. I do reviews as well, but nothing compared to your skill.
Great job, I will thumbs up it!

Great editing and editing. Many props for that, you're a knife presenter and promoter, not a reviewer!

Thanks for the compliments (or maybe criticism). I actually don't have any stake in Spyderco (or other knives on my site) I buy all of them with my own $ (although I'd like to change that! ). The videos are more about my excitement for knife design, manufacturing and entertainment. The written reviews on the site (especially on the Ayoob) are more critical.

I've worked in manufacturing and QC in the auto industry before I got into other things and look at it from that perspective; it's hard to make good products and bring them to market at a price people can afford....
Their are plenty of people shitting on designers, makers and manufacturers efforts, that's not my intention. I just love knives....

With that said, I hope that the video quality gives people enough of a close up view that they can decide if it's worth their cash or not.

Regardless of your response above to this - it is true.

Nobody wants you to criticize any maker and I hate to see stupid You Tube Videos where totally unqualified people misuse stuff and then tell how bad a product is.

A review for me - has to entail use of the product. I would agree that your video is an overview and your cosmetic impressions of the knife - it is not a review.

I do feel strongly about this - but - I don't want you to stop posting whatever you do.

I just wish we had some other name for these.

    Hi Mike,

Firstly, thanks for watching the video, I truly appreciate it.
I've played around with the "overview" and the "review" title but people generally don't search (or find) "overviews" hence the usual "review" title. Google semantics are a beast unto themselves!

By the way, I've heard nothing but good things about Bark River. The Bravo Necker is a great looking knife. I'll be sure to pick one up someday!

    Hey EO!
Just left a comment on your website and thought your video was a great piece on how a knife review should be done. Please don't take any offense to the my little martial arts lesson in the comment. I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in there on using a knife while under extreme duress, not to blast your review in any way. Thanks again for the great vid!
