  • Winter's 2016 buildoff.

This year I'll be doing a kukri type weapon. I gotta say, it should be pretty bad ass.

I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

Is there a sawmill in SE Alaska inexplicably missing a blade?

There was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying? We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you spoiled little rat-bastards!

When it comes to material in himself, I prefer no teeth....but a handle could be kinda fun.....

              Theft is not inexplicable.

Profiled out. I'll tweek the profile a bit to have a smooth transition into the teeth and I may narrow down the blades waist a bit more (The part opposite the tip).

                              Here is the initial grind.

Here it is with the final blade shape and the grind needs some cleaning up but that's essentially it. I went with a fairly shallow grind because I think it suits it. We tested it out a bit last night with some pork ribs.

Now I gotta dream up the handle............
