55 grain ball ammo in my range gun. Normally Federal, but not always.

Black Hill 69 grain match hollowpoints for anything else.

For range blasting, I use 55gr FMJBTs, loaded over 24.5 grains of H335, lit by a CCI 450. For everything else, I use a similar load, substituting 60gr Nosler Ballistic tips.

My AR has a 1:7 twist and loves the 62g green tip.

You know, come to think of it, I don't think I've fired a SINGLE round of factory ammunition through this rifle in the four years I've owned it!

I had a lot of luck with Federal XM 155 ammo the one time I bought ammo. Its HOT! 3540 fps from a 20" barrel. Now I reload everything.
Komi, have you tried Win748 for powder yet?

Not yet, Mike. I have used H335, BL-C(2), and TAC in my AR, along with some Varget in my bolt rifle. The Varget doesn't run so clean through my powder measure, so I save that for accuracy loads that I meter and scale individually.

I shoot what I am issued.......

                Federal 55 grain.
                Green tip penetrator 62 grain.

all work well for me. I stick with that for two reasons. 1. I know how its gonna perform out of my rifle 2. its free and I can get LOTS of it.

I forgot, I had a lot of Hornady 68gr something given to me a while back that shot very well in my carbine. 1.8" groups at 200 yards was the best I ever got out of that upper.

Given that my work is all range-time, except the occasional coyote or varmint-popping expedition... yeah, item 2 there would sell it for me!
