Hey guys, quick question... what's the difference of the szabofly models, except for the VG10/440c/154 bladesteel?

Also... how much does this affect the price of a BNIB one?

there is no 440c szabofly

theres a 154cm version, and a vg10 version

i see both go NIB for about $190 - $230

The VG-10 version was made in Seki Japan. They were the first Szabo's produced and had double sided #10 torx screws. The 154cm version was made in Golden CO and had single #8 torx screws. Don't think there was much of a difference beyond that.

I believe the ones made in Seki were recalled after the whole I.C.E. incident that Spyderco unfortunately went through. Nothing wrong with them, but per I.C.E's ruling they had to ask that the products be returned if I remember correctly. I would think that this makes them a little more on the rare/collectible side.

Yes, this is correct - recalled as contraband, not a QC issue. More rare, definitely.

There is one more difference. Where Laci's name and Spyderco logo is on the blade, The engraving was a bit different..

Collectors club I believe was numbered.

I had a Szabo VG-10, that was numbered. It was a collector's club.
