The weather sucks and my girl is sick. Thought that I would watch a movie and drink some coffee. What brand do you guys drink? I like Nescafe Clasico from Mexico. This will make the hair on your back stand up, good stuff.

I like to spike my coffee with one of those Stacker 2 or 3. It does matter the number as long as it is the recipe with ephedra. The pussy new version barely raises my heartbeat. I like feeling my heart pound against my ribcage while making holes everytime it pushes against the rigid cage of bone. It helps me feel that i am alive.

Once i can't cough up anymore more ephedra filled Stackers, I will have to resort to crystal meth to give that etra *umph*. My coffee won't be as strong as the Stacker formula but I have to do with what I have.

Anally plugging coffee beans isn't giving me the rush I would get in the past. I might have to graduate to mainlining it through the vein of my dick. Here comes the medicine, Matilda.

Every morning I pick up a large cup of coffee at a place called Rotondo's... A liquor/deli store. They have quite a few types of brewed coffee but nothing real fancy. The coffee (Green Mountain Roasters) is in carafes & you pour your own. They have one called 'Our Blend' and usually 2 or 3 others. My favorite cup of coffee is made from a bit of milk, a shot of French Vanilla and then fill it up with 'Our Blend"... now it's called 'My Blend'.

wesmalo... me? coffee? :devil: I get mine sent directly to me from my contact on the main island... why bother with stores when you can shop direct from roaster? 100% kona, direct, is my usual. Grind my own for every single pot.

I drink hualalai estates 100% kona, medium-dark roast in the morning

peaberry is a weekend thing(got an 8oz bag a month or so ago)

have 2 other brands of 100% kona dark roast that I drink afternoon and night

have about 4 pots worth of gautemalan medium roast from the 1lbs bag I got... another 2 bags coming when that contact does his xmas visit to his folks.

1oz of beans to a pot, medium-fine grind, cold bottled water, moved to a thermos immediately after the pot is done brewing.

have 32oz of hualalai estates on my shelf, and about 7-8oz of beans in my backpack(home for a day, then back out to my sisters)

Using pop as a wake up drink (like coffee or tea) because of the caffeine is a bad idea... Coke has about 20 teaspoons of it's own special sugar per can. I dout many people get more then 4 or 5 teaspoons of sugar in their coffee... unless you have a huge sugar intake, you will hit a major sugar low around lunch if you had coffee around 8... this doesn't happen to everyone, but a lot of people. as for diet coke, who the fuck drinks sweetener?

OK, I'll bite. What's a bodum press?

I'll get a pic of mine on saturday when I get home...

essentially you end up removing the grounds from the water after letting it soak for 3-5min(starting with water just shy of boiling). no paper filter means no chemical taste and the oils are still in the coffee. Grounds and pressed to either the top or bottom of the press before pouring. last 1/4" of the cup is left unless you want to chew on grounds.

gives a smoother richer cup of coffee, with one hell of a caffine kick if you use good stuff first.

for those not in the know about coffee... coffee gets it's caffine levels by how long the water is in contact with the grounds. thus, drip coffee has more caffine than expresso. bodum has a lot more than drip coffee since the water is in full contact with the grounds for as long as you let it sit.

toddy coffee is the top of the scale(and not to be drank if you aren't ready to be up for a day)...

a good toddy follows the same rules as the bodum coffee... grounds in direct contact wuth water, strain before use... but toddy is easier.

1 lbs of ground coffee to 1 gallon of water(or 1/8 cup per litre, fine grind). doesn't matter if you start with hot or cold water because it's gonna sit. 8-24hrs of sitting to get a strength you want.

FRESH fine grind, dark roast kona, just do the 1 litre portion and let it sit 24hrs... pour into a 2nd bottle using a fine cheesecloth to strain... prepare to be awake for a couple days.

I've been fueled on coffee for 4yrs and counting...

got my job at BK in aug 00, was doing HS, a 40hrs a week job, homework(75-80% marks), and sleeping... got 20-25hrs of sleep a week.
Our coffee for the 40 cup pot came premeasured... 1 pack per pot. I was doing 2 packages and having that in 8hrs of work.

I get the shakes from NOT having caffine daily.

bodum and toddy are enough for my system, though drip is better for the first cup

Took some toddy to work in a 600ml coke bottle, and found out which poor bastard was drinking my pop. :devil: :D

I really like this coffee my sister got for me when she went to Hawaii. It's so yummy she got me 3 different kinds: White Chocolate, Chocolate, and roasted hazelnut.... We have this really good coffee place up here and I always get a mocha with 3 shots of espresso. Gets me going in the morning.. I still fall asleep in class :D
